THE BIG BAD COLOR TEST
This
is a handy little javascript
that will allow you instantly see how text
and
background colors complement each other. To switch the background
to one of the 216 web palette colors
click on the switch box by that text color. For any other color
type in the hex number in the box above
(using the xxyyzz form where
xx gives red value, yy-green, zz-blue and x, y, or z
can be 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,a,b,c,d,e, or f)
for a color in the box and then click
the button. Instant gratification.

The 216 web palette text colors are listed by value, darkest to lightest.
If the text in your window disappears after the background color changes
just scroll down and back up.
